The “Secret Life of Walter Mitty” is a
story about the man named Walter Mitty always dream daydream by day and imagine
the good things he want to do. He dreams five different characters in his
daydreams. Nevertheless, someone or something always makes him wake up from the
good daydreams.
In his dreams, Walter Mitty is a person who is a powerful commander of a
navy hydroplane. He lets his followers increase the speed of the navy hydroplane
and go through the sea no matter what happen. He images that he are able to lead
his crew escape the bad situation successfully. Others treat him like someone
who respectful the teachers. His crew follows his orders and obeys him. Another
daydream is that he image he is an experienced and clever doctor. He is doing
an operation for Wellington McMillan in the operating room. Others admire him.
For the first instance, he is controlled by his wife and she doesn’t like
to go more than forty of car’s speed in his real life. However, he is up to
fifty-five at that time. For the second instance, he cannot find the free space
to park his car in the real life.
Finally, Walter Mitty daydreams because the pressure of him is too much.
And daydream is a good way to release the stress and pressure and then he can
feel a little bit good. In the real life, he is a common person and he obeys the
orders of his wife. He may want to be a fantastic person, thus he only can do
this awesome character in his daydream. To achieve his dream so that he
daydreams often.

In this story, everybody was finally equal. They weren’t only
equal before God and the law. They were equal every which way. Nobody was
smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody
was stronger or quicker than anybody else. If you have good hearing, you must
wear the earphone; if you have good sight, you must put glasses on your face.
Bergeron was a handsome guy and he good at sighting, hearing and so on. Once, he
took everything down from his body and then the police came in and shoot
him.
In my perspective, I don’t think he was a hero. Although he
broken the equality rule in the society, he still died. Like the thing we did
before, Lisa Wang told us that we should think before you act. Yes, it’s true.
Harrison Bergeron should think more before he did such things. For instance,
what’s the result if he does the things, what the influence and so on? Finally,
he died in this story. I think the definition of hero is that save other people
and do awesome things for world. The key point is that protect himself as well.
Only the hero alive, he can do good
things.
 The movie I chose is despicable
me.
Exposition:
Gru is a bad man. He works for villains. He adopts 3little cute
girls so that they can help him steal moon.
Big Event/Inciting Incident:
Other villains stole the pyramids of Egypt. And they used a
giant inflatable replica to replace. There is panic throughout the glose as
couties and citizens try to protect their beloved landmarks. No one knows who
did that and what will villains do next.
Rising Action:
Gru plans to steal moon and then he wants to borrow money which
can produce a rocket from the bank of evil.
Gru tries to steal the shrink ray. However, a young man named
Vector always make trouble to him.
Gru lee his professor makes a lot of cookies robot and the three
little girls deliver these coolies robot.
Climax:
Gru goes to the moon successfully by his rocket and make the
moon become smaller then steal the moon. At that time Veetor steal 3 little
girls and threat.
Falling Action :
Mr. Gru saves 3 little girls
successfully.
Resolution:
Moon, it’s back.
Gru and three little girls get along together.
 Morrie said: "Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone".
The left pattern is my poster. I draw two dead monsters and a little demon. A little demon live happily with love. And when he gone, the love always accompany him. No matter what happen. The bigger monster is his father. He is waiting for him and love not disappear. The feeling of love is warm and flipped. Therefore, I wrote warm and lipped on my poster.
Love is around us.
Today we went to Pingyang gerocomium to interview old people to get some information and learn something from them. Our group is made of Alycia, David, Nicole and me. Before interview, we prepared a lot of questions to ask in Chinese class and we wrote introduction in English class. However, the planning is changed when we chat with them. We didn’t use the plan because of some special reasons. During the interview, the two old persons may not happy to have an interview since one of them have sad things and don’t want us to ask. Nevertheless, we have no choice and we try to make them happy and willing to talk with us. Actually, I believe this interview was successful. They answered our questions and took a photo with us. At last we gave them some fruit and honey to them. I think we may go to the gerocomium next time in October or November, but I am not sure.
After interview, we learn something from this project is that how to communicate with old people and how to work in a working- group. Last but not least, I hope that the old people will live comfortably and happily.
Is Mitch happy with his life? At the beginning, I think he is happy since he has a good job and earn a lot of money. Actually, Mr. Word told us the correct answer is no. Then I try to find information. Now, I know why he is not really happy. When he was a student in college, he wanted to be a famous musician. However, after several years of dark, empty nightclubs, broken promises, and bands that kept breaking up and so on. He was failing for the first time in his life. He gives up his dream of music and now he is a reporter. And at the same time, he had his first serious encounter with dearth. His uncle died. It was the most hopeless he have ever felt in his life. He swears he never work for money but he didn’t do it. Now, he is a famous reporter and work for money. He had a free time in the past, but today he has to go different place to finish his work and has no time to accompany his wife and children. At that time, he was a young boy, but now he is become mature. He wants have enough time to stay with his family and talk to his old professor.
Actually, I have no idea about my future life since I can’t measure it. Nevertheless, I try to image it. After twenty years I already finish my study from top college. I don’t have to take test or any quiz in the rest life. Congratulations. I hope that I will be a manager of modern hotel. This is my ambition since I was a little girl. To be a manager of modern hotel I am able to earn much money and have good prospect. And my mother supports me to do this job for working in a good environment. I may have a cute baby with my husband in 20 years. We must live happily and I want to travel the world with my family before 30years old. And my parents live with me so that they can help me take care of my cute baby. I also can look after them. I wish I can keep in touch with my best friend forever. Sometimes we can have a meal together and talk about our life. If I want to get this kind of life, I have to pay the effort and make it become true.
 The first picture is the cloth we wear today. The second one is the people's cloth in the past. TV also has changed. From these two pictures, we can know development of technology has dramatic changed. Our life become better and better.
The phones are more modern and numerous function in phones so that we can have fun with them.
Look at the last pictures, the environment of study are better than in the past, which means we have a good condition and good education.
 The first pattern is that they wear own clothes to go to school. They didn’t wear uniform. And their clothes were old and not comfortable.
The second pattern is an old machine of making popcorn. In fact, I have never seen the machine but I know it. My mother and father saw that in the past and know how to use it.
Next picture and the forth is the life style at that period; they took bus (electronic bus) and wagon to go to other place. Nowadays, we take taxi, bus and underground.
The next one is picture of Tangshan earthquake. I just knew this earthquake is the most serious.
The sixth and the seventh pattern represent where they were work.
The last one is watch, bicycle, and machine of cutting clothes. Now, with social and technology development, our bicycles become more and more wonderful.
My parent didn’t have enough money to pay the tuition in the past. They didn’t have good condition to study as well, but they were hard working. Now we have perfect environment of studying and do not worry about expensive tuition. Nevertheless, we are wasting! Not everyone is diligent. Yes, it includes me, but there are many students still focus on studying. Sometimes I may not put all of mind and energy to study. And that period, their parents asked them to do farming work and housework. Today, we really don’t do that because each family employs the “a-yi”. In addition, they didn’t have to do assignment and their teachers didn’t punish and criticize them. Nowadays, we must to do homework, whatever happens. If we don’t do the homework on time, we will get points off and have detention. We have different opinions about everything. Thus, so-called generation gap. In my perspective, the world is full of brilliance and laugh. They don’t think so which means, they think the world is work and earn money to give us the best education. Sometimes, we have argument. For instance, I want to have fun with my friends and go back home late. They said: no! They think friends are useless and don’t make friends until go to the college. That’s the generation gap..
